Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Solvr mobile application or website (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Solvr ("we", "us", or "our").
By downloading, installing, or using Solvr, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Solvr. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are between 13 and 18, your parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms on your behalf.
2. No account required
Solvr does not require an account to use. Your solve history is stored locally on your device. Because there's no account to secure, you're responsible for the physical security of your own device and its contents.
3. Academic use & disclaimer
Solvr is a study and verification tool. It is not a substitute for learning the material, and it does not guarantee academic outcomes.
Math, physics, and chemistry answers are independently checked with symbolic computation where applicable, but step-by-step explanations, classification, and Mistake Detective's analysis are AI-generated and may occasionally contain errors. Use your own judgment, and always follow your school's or institution's academic integrity policies regarding the use of outside tools and AI assistance on graded work.
4. Subscriptions and payments
Free plan
3 verified solves per day, math only, at no cost with no time limit.
Solvr Pro
A paid subscription unlocking unlimited solves, all STEM subjects, Mistake Detective, Ask Solvr, the Weakness Graph, and exports. Billed at $11.99/month or $59.99/year.
Exam Boost
A consumable 7-day pass granting everything in Pro, billed at $6.99 per pass.
Free trial
If we offer a free trial on Solvr Pro, you will be charged automatically at the end of the trial period unless you cancel beforehand.
Billing and cancellation
Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the billing period. You retain access until the end of the current period. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google per their respective policies.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Solvr for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer or extract source code from the app
- Circumvent or disable any security, verification, or access control features
- Use automated tools to scrape or interact with the Service
- Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service or its servers
6. User content
You retain ownership of the photos and content you submit to Solvr. By submitting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process that content solely to provide the Service (reading, solving, and verifying your problem).
7. Intellectual property
The Solvr name, logo, app design, and all content we create are our intellectual property. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks or brand assets without prior written permission.
8. Third-party services
Solvr integrates with OpenAI, RevenueCat, and Google Cloud. Your use of these services through Solvr is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED EXPLANATIONS WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE. Verification covers the specific numeric/symbolic claim being checked — it does not guarantee every explanatory step is free of error. Always use your own judgment.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING ACADEMIC OUTCOMES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $50 USD, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these Terms. Provisions that should survive termination (including Sections 9, 10, and 13) will survive.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the app or this page at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
